Here's some answers to questions we get a lot at Box Balloons. If you have any additional questions, please use the Contact Page or the chat icon in the bottom right of the screen.
How to dispose of balloons
Don't release them into the sky, this really isn't good for the environment. Cut the end of the balloon and dispose of the balloon element in a bin.
Our boxes can be fully recycled, including the tape on them.
How long will they float for?
Our balloons should last for 4-6 days in the right environment. Temperature matters and in the cold they'll deflate, in the warmth they may pop.
Can I send anonymously?
Oooh we love a secret admirer! No problem to send balloons anonymously, there's no reference to who has ordered unless you order a card.
Can I amend my order?
As long as we've not already dispatched it, we can try and accommodate changes to your order. However, once it's dispatched we can't change the balloons or the address they have been sent to.
Can I return my order
Balloons are classed as a perishable good and once inflated cannot be returned, reused or resold. However, if your item is faulty it does not affect your statutory rights and you can email us through the Contact Page or by replying to your order email.
What happens if there's nobody home?
On checkout, we'll ask you what you want to do if there's nobody home and pass those instructions onto the courier. If there's no way for our courier to safely deliver they may be taken away again - there is no refund for failed deliveries outside our control.
Can you deliver to a venue
Yes, you can do this but this is entirely at your own risk. If there is nobody at the venue to accept delivery or they go missing after our courier drops them off we will not provide a refund. You should inform the venue and make sure they are expecting them if you do this.
Can I specify a time?
No, sorry. We can only specify a day of delivery - but our courier will provide an hour timeframe when they expect to deliver on the day of delivery.
Are your boxes branded?
Yes they are, they are simply branded with Box Balloons. We do this to give couriers an idea of what's inside so they can handle it with a bit more care.
